The new model represents the world’s first light-operated wristwatch with GPS technology and diving function to a depth of 200 meters in accordance with the ISO standard*3.
The caliber F158 delivers long-lasting energy and, in energy-saving mode, runs for around seven years when fully charged, even without a light source.
The satellite signal reception function can be switched off in dive mode by simultaneously pressing two buttons at the two and four o’clock positions. In addition to satellite reception, other functions can also be switched off, e.g. the charge and energy indicators, the reception indicator, the energy saving function and the pointer correction function*4.

The dial ring displays the eight most famous diving spots in the world, selected in collaboration with the world’s largest travel platform TripAdvisor. The watch receives position coordinates as well as time and date information via GPS. It is therefore able to display the exact time anywhere in the world – even at the world’s most spectacular diving spots.
The case is made of titanium, a material that was first used by CITIZEN for watch production in 1970. Known as Super Titanium™*5, this lightweight, extremely scratch-resistant and rust-proof material has been continuously developed over the past 50 years. One of the improvements achieved is the DURATECT*6 MRK surface hardening technology, for example. DURATECT MRK is a technology in which a specific type of gas is injected into the surface of the watch, making it harder and, above all, more impact-resistant. The new housing of the CC5006-06L has a glossy black finish and is coated with DURATECT DLC for a smoother surface and greater scratch resistance.
Other outstanding professional design features and functions include luminous numerals and hands as well as a unidirectional rotating bezel with knurled notches, making it easy to operate even when wearing diving gloves. In addition, the watch is equipped with the authentic features of a diver’s watch, e.g. screw-down crown, sapphire crystal, charging capacity indicator and the “Light Level Indicator”.*7

The watch receives precise location and time data anywhere in the world via satellite signals and automatically sets the time and calendar (38 time zones) correctly. The watch only needs three seconds to receive the time signal, making it the fastest reception time in the world*8. Even without the GPS function, the watch offers an accuracy of ±5 seconds per month.
The time can be easily set to the desired local time and date using the crown. As the world’s first diver’s watch with GPS function, this watch gives the diver’s safety top priority. The watch is switched to dive mode by simultaneously pressing two buttons at the two and four o’clock positions.
With the exception of the time display, all functions can be switched off to prevent the time from being changed by accidentally pressing a button. The watch itself is water-resistant up to 200 m in accordance with the ISO standard.

The watch is also equipped with a charge level indicator and a light level indicator. It only switches to dive mode when the battery charge is sufficient. In this way, the diver knows before the dive that his watch is not in optimum condition. The watch has a power reserve of around seven years when fully charged and the energy-saving mode is activated.
This model is ideal for divers – both in terms of design and function. Eight popular diving destinations, selected in collaboration with TripAdvisor, can be seen on the dial ring. They are Sharm El Sheikh, Maldives, Phuket, Great Barrier Reef, Fiji, Hawaii, Galapagos Islands and Fernando de Noronha.
On the navy blue dial, which was inspired by the color of the sea in diving areas, large luminous dot indices and thick hands ensure better legibility. The unidirectional rotating bezel with knurling is easy to operate even when wearing diving gloves. The housing is made from feather-light, scratch- and rust-resistant Super Titanium™. The non-slip urethane rubber strap with wave motif is equipped with an extension for wearing on a wetsuit.
